THE MORTGAGE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR UNITED GENERAL MORTGAGE LOAN SUBMISSIONS
1. U.G.M.C. suggests that each individual loan start with a pre-approval submission form in combination with a 1003, 1008 & Tri- Merge credit report. This must be faxed to your account executive at (610)-332-1126 for a 24 hour turn around approval. This approval should only be construed as a confirmation that your borrower fits into one of U.G.M.C. current loan programs. It is not a formal “underwriting approval”. The pre-approval submission form is available on the “forms” tab.
2. Submit the full package to underwriting. The broker should follow the guidelines for developing and stacking the full package outlined in our Full-File Submission Form. We require that our Brokers overnight a complete package to our PA processing center:
United General Mortgage Corporation
1412 Walter Street
Bethlehem, PA 18015

3. Once the loan is received at U.G.M.C we date and log the loan submission and forward the loan package to Underwriting. Our Underwriting loan processing is structured on a stacking order process based on calendar receipt date. Our underwriting time frame is predicated on our overall volume of current loan submissions and is subject to fluctuations based on this volume.
4. Once the broker has cemented all closing issues, monies required to close will be dispersed with 48 hours via wire transfer to the closing agent assigned by the Broker.
5. In order to close a loan, a broker must insure the following has been completed;
• Broker approval
• Appraiser approval
• Builder approval (applicable to construction loans)

This information serves as a high level review of our Loan processing procedures. It is incumbent upon the Broker to stay in contact with both the U.G.M.C. Loan Coordinator & Account Executive to insure a smooth loan submission process.
